The Louisiana Cancer Foundation was founded in 1999

... by the Northeast Louisiana Cancer Institute and obtained its 501 (c) (3) status in early 2000. The purpose of the LCF is to increase public awareness, early detection, treatment and research for cancer throughout Northeast Louisiana. Services of the LCF are maintained through grants, fundraisers and private and corporate contributions.

Donation From the Monroe Fire Department

ShaBrodrick Jones and members of the Monroe Fire Department present a $500 donation to James Adams and the Louisiana Cancer Foundation.

The Monroe Fireman raised the money during their “No Shave November” fundraiser. The MFD donation will be used to help fund the Cancer Foundation’s free annual Prostate Cancer Screening for men in northeast Louisiana.
